Having toured the world for several years as percussionist for Xavier Rudd, he developed a generous and uplifting stage presence. With each release, he has refined a personal style built on groove, simplicity and sincerity.
His fourth album, Keep It Tropical (2024), has become a mantra: stay light, stay grateful, follow what brings joy. Supported by international touring, it confirms Bobby Alu as one of the leading voices of contemporary soul-reggae.
