“The keys are under the rug, just come on in” – with these words the Berlin based – Israeli singer-songwriter Yael Nachshon Levin invites you to experience her new studio album “Tigers and Hummingbirds”.
This unique album of Jazz, Indie and Classical mixture, illustrates Yael’s healing journey from PTSD, through darkness and despair all the way to hope and transformation. This is undoubtedly Yael’s most vulnerable and raw album, on which she generously reveals some of her own deepest hurts and encourages others to do the same.
Together with her dream Trio, including the outstanding musicians Haggai Cohen Milo (Omer Klein Trio) on Double Bass and Tomer Moked Blum (Fink, Patricia Kaas) on Guitar/Viola, Yael will perform songs from her new album and some songs from the past.
‘Tigers and Hummingbirds’ is Levin’s fifth studio album and her second on LowSwing Records, following 2019’s successful LP ‘Shining Long After They’re Gone’.
Throughout the songwriting process, Yael was joined by legendary bassist Greg Cohen, who brought in his many years of experience working with Tom Waits, Ornette Coleman, Lou Reed and many others.
